Saint George icon, in silver. Dimensions 6x8,5 cm

A highly precious icon, mounted on a walnut wood backing, made of Mirò silver and featuring the typical colors of Byzantine iconography. The icon depicts Saint George, represented as a warrior and protector saint. Saint George is shown in armor, mounted on horseback, wielding a lance to fight and pierce a dragon, a symbol of evil and ignorance. This iconography represents the victory of good over evil and the triumph of Christian faith over opposing forces, while also commemorating the saint's martyrdom. The icon can be hung or displayed standing using the stand included in the box. Hand-finished with meticulous attention to detail. Made entirely in Italy by a leading company specializing in the production of silver paintings.
