The Gospel of Luke. A guide to reading

His Excellency Monsignor Nazzareno Marconi, an eminent biblical scholar, following the model of the book «The Gospel of Mark. A Guide to Reading» (Editrice Shalom 2019), offers a new literal translation of the Gospel of Luke, closer to the original texts. This choice aims to invite readers to pay greater attention to the words, aware that the text reaches us across a historical distance of two millennia. By commenting on each chapter in a profound yet accessible way, Monsignor Marconi introduces readers to a first, more attentive and personal reading of the text, hoping to help ordinary believers discover the extraordinary richness and beauty of the Gospel of Luke, which, after two thousand years, continues to fascinate not only believers but every person who, reading its pages with love and passion, accepts the challenge of setting out on a journey guided by the Word.
