The love of Jesus, eternal wisdom

Seventeen chapters, beginning with guidance on what to do to love and seek divine wisdom, explore its origin and greatness, culminating in Chapter XIV, which highlights the triumph of eternal wisdom on the cross and through the cross, and concluding with the final three chapters, which present four means of attaining wisdom: an ardent desire, continual prayer, universal mortification, and a tender and genuine devotion to Mary. “The Love of Jesus, Eternal Wisdom” is a passionate and compelling account in which Saint Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort addresses the fundamental themes of Christian spirituality. With the help of numerous passages from the wisdom books of the Old Testament, the saint reflects on God's extraordinary desire to love humanity and to be loved by it, emphasizing how Christ's death on the cross makes this love more manifest. It is clear throughout the work that Saint Louis Marie writes about what he himself experienced. One of Montfort's most important works, truly not to be missed.
