The Gospel as Revealed to Me. Volume V

The fifth volume of the work «The Gospel as Revealed to Me» by Maria Valtorta covers the second and third years of Jesus’ public life. The complete work consists of 10 volumes. It recounts the birth and childhood of the Virgin Mary and her Son Jesus, the three years of Jesus’ public life (which make up its largest section), his passion, death, resurrection, and ascension, the early beginnings of the Church, and Mary’s assumption. The complete work describes landscapes, settings, people, and events with the vividness of a portrayal; presents characters and situations; conveys joys and dramas with the feeling of someone who is truly taking part in them; and provides information about environmental features, customs, rituals, and cultures.
