The Gospel as Revealed to Me. Volume VIII

Volume eight of the work «The Gospel as Revealed to Me» by Maria Valtorta covers the third year of Jesus' public life and the preparation for the Passion. The complete work consists of 10 volumes. It recounts the birth and childhood of the Virgin Mary and her Son Jesus, the three years of Jesus' public life (which make up its largest section), his Passion, death, Resurrection, and Ascension, the beginnings of the Church, and Mary's Assumption. The complete work describes landscapes, settings, people, and events with the vividness of a performance; presents characters and situations; conveys joys and dramas with the feeling of someone who is truly taking part; and provides information about environmental features, customs, rituals, and cultures.
