Faith

Volume XXXIV of the Catechesis in Images series, edited by Monsignor Martinelli, systematically outlines the nature and requirements of the Christian faith. The author emphasizes that faith is not a
static state, but a dynamic journey (odós) that requires continual conversion of the heart and growth toward a true “mature faith”.
This journey is founded on a personal and all-encompassing encounter with Christ, made possible by humble listening to the Word of God (fides ex auditu).
A fundamental theme is the inseparability of Christ and the Church, which serves as mother, teacher, and the only community in which the salvific encounter can take place fully. Mature faith requires a commitment to resist secular “trends” and to live in fidelity to the Church’s Magisterium (sentire cum Ecclesia). Finally, the book highlights that communicating the faith is effective not only through words, but also through direct experience and the consistent testimony of a transformed life. A unique book for returning to the roots of the faith.
