My First Communion

First Communion is almost always reduced to the excitement of a festive day centered on lunch and gifts. The invitation to take a place at Jesus' Table - children, parents, relatives, and the community - takes second place. Just as we often fail to recognize the invitation that comes from the Lord himself, who gives himself for the happiness of his young friends and their families. An invitation he renews every Sunday? This booklet offers original reflections on the First Eucharist drawn from an updated reading of the Gospel, using inclusive language suitable for children. It is also intended as a mini-guide to consult and complete at home, with the help of poetic, richly detailed drawings ready to color. Elledici Editions
