Mercy. Catechesis by Pope Francis

In the Magisterium of Pope Francis, mercy is a recurring theme. He speaks about it constantly. But have we absorbed his message? Have we understood the implications of mercy in our daily lives? Have we followed Francis’s invitation to become a face of mercy? During the general audiences held throughout the Holy Year, the Holy Father presented the theme of mercy from a biblical, spiritual, and pastoral perspective. He explored the word “mercy” through service, commitment, correction, compassion, almsgiving, and many other aspects of every person’s life. It is our task to reread and reflect on the catecheses on mercy, abandoning the path of indifference and embracing the path of tenderness and love.
