The Virgin of Silence

The book presents the Novena, the Rosary, and several prayers to the Virgin of Silence. At the heart of these pages is the spirituality of silence, which grew around the Icon of the Virgin of Silence, located in Abruzzo at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Silence in Avezzano (AQ). This sanctuary was commissioned by Pope Francis, who blessed the icon of the Virgin of Silence on June 15, 2016, asking Father Emiliano Antenucci to open a new sanctuary in Abruzzo dedicated to the Virgin of Silence. The spirituality of silence that inspires these pages is a quiet journey of prayer, docility, and meditation, modeled on Mary's journey. Silence, in fact, is one of the fundamental characteristics of the Mother of God, who keeps all the mysteries of her Son in the treasure chest of her mother's heart.
