The Glories of Mary

“The Glories of Mary” is the greatest Marian masterpiece by Saint Alphonsus Maria de Liguori, which even today continues to nourish popular devotion with irresistible power. Adapted into modern language, this book is a true “treasure” within everyone’s reach. The volume consists of two parts: the first comments, in ten chapters, on the antiphon “Hail, Holy Queen”; the second illustrates the principal feasts of Our Lady, her seven sorrows, her virtues, and acts of devotion and practices directed toward Our Lady. Each chapter concludes with several examples and a prayer. This is not merely a book to read, but one to meditate on. It is no exaggeration to say that this is the most beautiful book written in Italian about Our Lady, a true gold mine: the deeper one goes, the more one discovers the riches of Mary’s love for each of her children.
