Nocino liqueur in a 700 ml bottle, produced directly by the Cistercian nuns inside Valserena Monastery. It is a delightful digestif liqueur, but also a pleasantly bitter aperitif tonic, made using traditional infusion and natural aging methods. This traditional Italian liqueur is obtained by infusing the husks of unripe walnuts in alcohol. Their distinctive bitter aroma is complemented with wine and other natural flavors according to a selected recipe, among the many in existence, used by the Trappist nuns of Valserena, who have been producing it for more than fifty years. Its alcohol content is 30% ABV. Ingredients: water, wine, walnut infusion, sugar, exclusively natural flavors. Historical background: Since 1968, products for personal care have been made in the laboratory of Valserena Cistercian Monastery. This activity supports the community and provides assistance to foundations in mission lands. The monastery belongs to the Order of Cistercians of the Strict Observance, a monastic institute entirely devoted to contemplative life. Within the enclosure, the nuns devote themselves to the worship of God according to the Rule of Saint Benedict.
