The Scapular of Mount Carmel

The Carmelite scapular is a pledge of the Virgin’s protection for all who wear it devoutly and is a sign of belonging to her and entrusting oneself to her with confidence. You too can wear the Carmelite scapular to live and die holy; the Virgin promised to free from Purgatory, on the first Saturday after death, those devotees who wore it. “I too have worn the scapular of Carmel on my heart for a long time,” said Saint John Paul II, who had a particular love for Our Lady of Mount Carmel. In this book, you will find the history of the devotion, the nature and meaning of the scapular, novenas, tridua, the rite of blessing and presenting the scapular, and... much more!
