Hidden in a Small Piece of Bread. Eucharistic Crumbs with Blessed Carlo Acutis

Drawing on the experience of Blessed Carlo Acutis, Father Michele Munno presents 31 “Eucharistic crumbs,” that is, a simple outline for adoration for each day of the month, containing: a brief Gospel passage, a short reflection, an invocation, and a “crumb” drawn from Carlo’s unpublished notes. So that the text can also be used for communal prayer, an outline for exposition and public adoration is provided, together with a collection of texts, hymns, and prayers. The volume is further enriched by several passages from the Old and New Testaments, useful for understanding the foreshadowing of the sacrament of the Eucharist. Finally, it includes the numbers from the Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church relating to this sacrament. The hope is that, through Blessed Carlo’s experience, everyone - and young people in particular - may rediscover their own originality by drawing from the sacrament that expresses the extraordinary originality of God’s love: the Eucharist.
