Father Stefano Igino Silvestrelli “Trust in God”

Throughout his intense life, Father Igino met tens of thousands of teenagers, from Sicily to Piedmont, students and workers from cities and rural areas. They asked him never to tire of speaking about God, and he did not disappoint them. “His was a true apostolic mission based on encounters and relationships,” Monsignor Nunzio Galantino recalled in the Introduction. Father Dario Cervato retraces the stages of the extraordinary life in the ordinary world of a priest who was truly close to people, especially the youngest. He does so “with a cadence and language,” Galantino continues, “that bring to life the figure of a man, a believer, and a Priest attentive to real questions awaiting meaningful answers. Father Cervato’s well-documented pages help us feel that Father Silvestrelli is a companion on the journey, especially for Priests who live out their pastoral service daily and generously.”
