Prayers of the Oblates of Saint Joseph

Drawing on the centuries-old tradition of the Congregation of the Oblates of Saint Joseph, the OSJ liturgical animation service has created a volume collecting the prayers, devotions, and rites that have shaped generations of oblates and laypeople. Saint Joseph Marello, founder of the Congregation, urged his spiritual children as follows: «Let us pray often and from the heart; let us pray even when we do not feel like it; let us pray even in spiritual dryness; let us pray to the good Lord to teach us to love him and finally put an end to our lukewarmness.» At this school, even today, countless people, especially young people in youth centers and parishes, learn to adore and praise the Lord, to invoke the help and intercession of the Virgin and the saints, especially Saint Joseph, head of the Holy Family. The book can become a precious companion on the journey for all those, laypeople or consecrated persons, who draw inspiration from the spirituality and charism of Saint Joseph Marello, who wish to follow in his footsteps and, by imitating Saint Joseph, the Guardian of the Redeemer, become true disciples of Jesus.
