Queen of the Family at Ghiaie di Bonate

Through an engaging and highly detailed account, the book retraces the story of the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary at Ghiaie di Bonate, a small town in the Bergamo area. According to the testimony of the young visionary Adelaide Roncalli, who was seven years old at the time, the Virgin appeared to her thirteen times in May 1944. Our Lady of Ghiaie is also known as the Queen of the Family because she appeared together with Saint Joseph and the Child Jesus, emphasizing the central importance and sacredness of the family - a highly relevant message at a time when the sacrament of marital love is experiencing a serious crisis. The text is enriched and enhanced by extensive photographic documentation, including photographs from the period, as well as a section containing the handwritten documents relating to the “Ghiaie case.” The Church has not yet issued a definitive opinion regarding the apparitions, although since February 2019 the Bishop of Bergamo has authorized devotion to Mary, Queen of the Family, at the parish chapel of Ghiaie di Bonate.
