Saint John Paul II and Medjugorje

This book, bringing together the private letters of Saint John Paul II and some of his unofficial statements to individuals, ecclesial groups, and laypeople, reveals an unprecedented and personal aspect of the pontiff: his relationship with Medjugorje, his being a "pilgrim in the heart." Following the Church's customary practice, the pope never gave his official opinion, but he often privately implied that «Medjugorje is a major worldwide spiritual center». The author, Monsignor Dr. Eduard Pericic, is a priest of the Archdiocese of Zadar and a professor of Church history at the Catechetical-Theological High School in Zadar.
