Saint Joseph. Religious fact and theology

Father Tarcisio Stramare, with rare expertise and a genuine love of truth, portrays Saint Joseph through an in-depth study that begins with the faith of the Christian people and then proceeds to the Josephite theology that has developed from it. Indeed, the distinguished theologian seeks to demonstrate Saint Joseph’s growth not only in the “sensus fidei” of believers, but also in the “theology of the Mystery,” which increasingly discovers his role as “minister of salvation” both in the life of Jesus and in the life of the Church. Saint Joseph, in the spirit of “Redemptoris custos,” is portrayed as the Virgin’s husband, guardian of the Son of God, and minister of salvation. His responsibility for the Holy Family and his role in the mystery of the Incarnation thus shine forth. With this book, the Patron of the Universal Church receives the honor he deserves and is revealed in all his holiness and humility!
