Saint Nicholas of Tolentino. The smile of humility

The extraordinary human and spiritual story of a saint, so deeply loved by the Christian people, is told in the biographical section with all the freshness and simplicity of an ordinary life. Humility, simplicity, faith, and prayer are the distinctive traits of Saint Nicholas of Tolentino: his message is still decidedly relevant today. In the section devoted to an analysis of his spirituality, we understand Nicholas’s profound Augustinian essence while also discovering his singular devotion to the departed: Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of the souls in Purgatory. Various prayers are then presented, including the seven Mondays of Saint Nicholas, the Novena to ask for a grace, the parents’ prayer for their children, the prayer for the holy souls in Purgatory, and many others.
