Beautiful 29 cm tall statue, made of resin and painted with exceptional attention to detail and color shading. Made entirely of colored resin, the statue depicts Our Lady of Mount Carmel holding the Infant Jesus and comes with a genuine cloth scapular. Made in Italy by artisans experienced in producing resin and fiberglass statues. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is the Virgin venerated on Mount Carmel since the time of the first friars, who built and dedicated their first little church to her and placed themselves under her protection. Her cult is linked to devotion to the scapular that, according to tradition, Mary gave to a legendary prior general of the Carmelite order, Simon Stock, promising that all who wear it would be freed from the pains of Purgatory on the first Saturday after death. Her liturgical feast is celebrated on July 16.
