The statue, made entirely of resin, depicts Saint Anthony the Abbot, shown with a piglet beside him. Made in Italy by artisans with expertise in producing resin and fiberglass statues.

Saint Anthony the Abbot was an Egyptian hermit abbot.

He is remembered as the patron saint of domestic animals, which is why he is depicted with a piglet beside him, but he is also remembered for the terrible temptations with which the Devil tormented him for years. He was believed to be capable of performing powerful miracles and healing terrible illnesses.
