Descrizione
Priestly stole made of 80% polyester and 20% wool, with direct gold embroidery on one side depicting the dove of the Holy Spirit with rays beneath it. The stole is 260 cm long overall and extends well below the knee when worn. Available only in red, it is worn for funerals, feast days of martyrs, Good Friday, Palm Sunday, and Pentecost. Red symbolizes the Holy Spirit and the blood of Christ. Made in Poland by a company specializing in the production of sacred vestments. The use of the stole is always mandatory during celebrations and rites for bishops, priests, and deacons (who use a different stole because they wear it differently from priests). When wearing it, the priest (bishop or presbyter) lets it hang straight from the shoulders to the legs, while the deacon wears it diagonally from the left shoulder to the right hip. Over time, the stole's symbolism has evolved: initially, it represented the office that deacons and priests accepted during ordination; later, it came to symbolize the virtues of the priest, making it a symbol of humility, wisdom, patience, purity, and fortitude. To be paired with chasuble code 43036
