Thirteen-day devotion to Saint Anthony. Outlines and prayers

The five versions of the thirteen Tuesdays devotion included in the text offer everyone the opportunity to ask Saint Anthony to intercede for a material or spiritual need, either communally or personally, for thirteen consecutive Tuesdays. Tradition, in fact, regards Tuesday as the Saint’s special day, commemorating the throngs of people who attended his funeral on the Tuesday following his death, June 13, 1231. The versions may also be recited around the time of the Saint’s feast: beginning May 31 as a thirteen-day devotion, June 4 as a novena, or June 10 as a triduum, or whenever one wishes to honor Saint Anthony or ask the Lord for a grace through his intercession. The publication is enriched by prayers to Saint Anthony and anecdotes related to devotion to him.
