Life of the Servant of God Mother Maria Pia Brando. The Way of the Heart

This volume offers the first biography of the Servant of God Maria Pia Brando, written by the postulator of her cause of beatification and canonization, Father Antonio Salvatore Paone. The life of Sister Maria Pia Brando continues to speak to us, men and women of today, because it is a life struck by the Heart of Jesus, who invites her to follow him, saying: “Learn from me!” And this is what she does throughout her brief yet intense life, after being born in Mugnano (Naples) in 1851: a life marked by her love story with Jesus, who reveals himself to her as Friend, Teacher, and finally Bridegroom in the suffering hearts of the poor, in the sad faces of orphans and the sick, and in all those she helps. In the name of this love, she becomes a servant of the least and brings the Sacred Heart of Jesus to everyone: wherever she goes, she proclaims that “the Heart of Jesus is open to all, but especially to the least”; and in the name of this love, she teaches the way of forgiveness: forgiveness to ask of God and to grant to our brothers and sisters without expecting anything in return. Through Sister Maria Pia, Jesus wishes to continue teaching us the secret of authentic joy, the joy that follows the way of the heart and true love; he desires to restore dignity to those who live in solitude and abandonment; he desires to enter our families and care for them, healing our wounds.
